### How does the auto-generation work?

GuideMark's engine analyzes your DOM structure and user interactions to automatically identify the key steps. It effectively watches you use your app and builds the tour in real time, which you can then refine in a no-code visual editor.

### Can I customize the look and feel?

### Can AI coding agents create product tours in GuideMark?

Yes. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients can connect to GuideMark's MCP server and create product tours and beacon tooltips on your real pages, pointing each step at an element by its CSS selector. Everything an agent makes is saved as a draft that visitors don't see until you publish it.

### Does GuideMark have an MCP server?

Yes, at https://guidemark.co/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Agents connect by signing in with GuideMark in the browser, so there is no API key to copy. Its tools read the project, create and edit tours and beacon tooltips, publish when you allow it, and email you when a draft is ready for review. Scripts and CI can use the REST API at https://guidemark.co/api/v1 with an API key instead.

### Can an agent publish without my approval?

Not by default: agents save drafts only. An agent can put something live, or change or delete anything that is live, only if the project allows agent publishing in Settings → Agents and you gave that agent publish access when you connected it. When a draft is finished, the agent can ask for a review, which emails the project owner a link to it.

### Will this slow down my app?

The script loads asynchronously, so it doesn't block your page from rendering.
